The AHA’s HeartSaver First Aid Course is a classroom, Instructor-led course designed to prepare those dealing with high risk community members first aid in a safe, timely, and effective manner. The course fee is $35 this includes the in-person skills test.

  • Includes rescuer duties, victim and rescuer safety, medical, injury, and environmental emergencies.
  • Particular emphasis on managing allergic reactions, use of the epi-pen, airway, asthma, diabetes and seizure crisis.
  • Care of victims with bleeding, broken bones, burns and electrical injures.
  • The course also includes management of common environmental emergencies.

NOTE: You will receive an email from eCards only if you choose to purchase the eCard. AHA certificates are $20 paid by credit card – coupon codes can NOT be used.

First Aid training includes:

  • Part 1: First Aid Basics – Rescuer Duties, Victim and Rescuer Safety, Phoning for Help, Finding the Problem, and What to do After an Emergency.
  • Part 2: Medical Emergencies – Breathing Problems, Choking, Allergic Reactions, Heart Attacks, Fainting, Diabetes and Low Blood Sugar, Stroke, Seizures, and Shock.
  • Part 3: Injury Emergencies – Bleeding you can see, Wounds, bleeding you can’t see, Head, Neck, and Spine Injuries, Broken Bones and Sprains, Burns and Electrical Injuries,
  • Part 4: Environmental Emergencies – Bites and Stings, Heat-Related Injuries, Cold-Related Injuries, and Poison Emergencies.
