Eric Levesque has been teaching emergency response and life-saving skills since 2002 and has served as a valued instructor with CPRBoston.org since 2015. With more than two decades of experience in emergency services, public safety, and healthcare education, Eric brings exceptional real-world expertise to every CPR, AED, First Aid, and emergency preparedness training program.
Eric earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and has been a certified and active Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) since 2004. His extensive experience in emergency medical services allows him to provide students with practical, scenario-based instruction that prepares them to respond confidently during medical emergencies.
Since 2013, Eric has served as a full-time firefighter with the Dedham Fire Department, where he responds to medical emergencies, fires, hazardous incidents, rescue operations, and public safety emergencies. In addition, he has been an active member of the Massachusetts Department of Fire Services Hazardous Materials Emergency Response Team since 2016, providing specialized expertise in hazardous materials response, incident management, and emergency preparedness.
As a CPRBoston.org Lead Instructor and Supervisor, Eric has extensive experience conducting CPR, AED, First Aid, Basic Life Support (BLS), and emergency response training programs for groups ranging from two to more than two hundred participants. He regularly supervises and coordinates teams of instructors during large-scale training events and corporate training programs.
Eric’s leadership responsibilities include mentoring and coaching instructors, ensuring compliance with CPRBoston.org and American Heart Association (AHA) training standards, monitoring instructional quality, and maintaining consistent delivery of high-quality educational programs. He also trains new instructors in classroom management, student evaluation, time management, teaching techniques, and CPRBoston.org operational procedures.
In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Eric documents training activities, evaluates instructor performance, provides coaching and corrective guidance when appropriate, and helps ensure that all courses meet CPRBoston.org’s commitment to excellence in emergency preparedness education.
