Joni Shaw is a highly experienced healthcare professional and educator with more than 30 years of clinical nursing experience. As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and CPRBoston.org instructor, Joni combines decades of patient care, healthcare leadership, and educational expertise to help students develop the confidence and skills needed to respond effectively during medical emergencies.
Throughout her distinguished healthcare career, Joni has worked in a variety of clinical settings, including case management, school health services, addiction medicine, patient care, caregiver support, and healthcare education. Her extensive experience caring for diverse patient populations has provided her with a deep understanding of healthcare delivery, patient advocacy, and emergency preparedness.
Joni has dedicated much of her professional life to educating patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare personnel. Her expertise includes healthcare staff development, patient education, regulatory compliance, care coordination, and interdisciplinary team collaboration. She is recognized for her ability to simplify complex healthcare concepts and create engaging learning environments that promote confidence, competence, and student success.
As an instructor with CPRBoston.org, Joni teaches American Heart Association (AHA) CPR, AED, Basic Life Support (BLS), and First Aid courses for healthcare providers, educators, childcare professionals, workplace safety teams, and community members throughout Greater Boston.
