Karen Rodgers is an experienced emergency healthcare professional and educator with more than 23 years of emergency medical and critical care experience. Her career has been dedicated to providing exceptional patient care, responding to medical emergencies, and educating healthcare providers and community members in life-saving skills.
Karen’s diverse clinical background includes experience as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Emergency Room Technician, Emergency Room Nurse, and Intensive Care Unit (ICU) clinician. This extensive experience across multiple levels of emergency and critical care allows her to bring real-world expertise and practical application to every training program she teaches.
Her healthcare career began as an EMT, where she gained valuable experience providing prehospital emergency care and responding to medical emergencies in the field. She then spent six years as an Emergency Room Technician before advancing to a career as an Emergency Room Nurse, where she has provided care for critically ill and injured patients for more than fifteen years. In addition, Karen has worked in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), caring for patients with complex and life-threatening medical conditions.
For more than 13 years, Karen has been actively involved in healthcare education and professional development. She is passionate about teaching CPR, AED, Basic Life Support (BLS), First Aid, and emergency response skills to healthcare providers, first responders, workplace safety teams, educators, and community members.
