Derek Moffett has been a dedicated instructor with CPRBoston.org for more than 14 years, providing high-quality education in CPR, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), First Aid, and Stop the Bleed training programs.
As a Registered Nurse with extensive experience in emergency and trauma care, Derek brings real-world clinical expertise to every class. He has more than 10 years of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) experience and over 8 years of nursing experience working in Emergency Departments and Trauma Teams throughout Massachusetts.
Derek holds certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), making him uniquely qualified to educate healthcare professionals, first responders, nursing staff, and community members in life-saving skills and emergency response techniques.
In addition to his clinical and teaching responsibilities, Derek serves as the Chair of the Massachusetts Nurses Association (MNA) Union in Wareham, Massachusetts, where he advocates for nursing excellence, patient safety, and healthcare workforce development. He also serves as Chair of the Emergency Department Best Practices Committee, helping develop and implement evidence-based patient care standards and quality improvement initiatives.
